The RN will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, and respond promptly to patient requests. Education for patients and families on conditions, therapies, and follow-up is essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required and maintained.
• ACLS, BLS and NVCI certifications must be obtained within specified periods.
• PALS or Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required within 60 days of start.
• Registered Nurse designation and state licensure are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management; reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients; document care promptly.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs to improve care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up plans.
