Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield Regional Medical Center seeks an Emergency Department RN to deliver exceptional care in a fast‑paced ER. You will collaborate with an interprofessional team, assess patient status, set priorities, and implement nursing interventions to improve outcomes in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree (associate or bachelor), current RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS (ACLS/PALS preferred at hire; must obtain within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as an RN
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire)
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team
• Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to achieve outcomes
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across departments
• Provides care to a broad spectrum of patients from short-stay to trauma
• Administer medications safely per policy and state practice
• Other duties as assigned
