Job summary

East Valley Hospital in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and deliver emergency care to patients of all ages.

The role requires two years ER experience, state nursing licensure, CPR/ACLS/PALS or ENPC/TNCC preferred, and strong communication. You will supervise ER technicians, collaborate with physicians, and uphold infection control and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting the age-specific needs of patients in the ED, including neonates to geriatrics.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival with head-to-toe assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
• Triage patients based on urgency to ensure timely care.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following established protocols.
• Administer medications accurately respecting the five rights.
• Supervise ER staff such as Emergency Room Technicians and other personnel.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about procedures and plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff on care plans.
• Maintain infection control and a clean, safe environment.
• Engage in ongoing education, meetings, and quality improvement.
