Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana seeks a Nursing Leader to oversee patient care using the Nursing Process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. You’ll delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary team members to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, active RN license, BLS, CPI, ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire; certifications beyond are preferred. Strong communication, organization, and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire and PALS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Leads and coordinates the nursing team; manages resources and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Supports patient satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing standards.
• Adapts communication for diverse patient populations and safeguards privacy.
• Performs other related duties as required.
