Job summary

Bon Secours—Simpsonville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate delivers comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, performing assessments, planning and evaluating care, and coordinating with the health care team.

The role includes administering medications safely, advocating for patient safety, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of practice
• BLS Basic Life Support, required at hire (preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care)
• Associate degree or diploma in nursing; BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop plans of care
• Administer medications safely per state practice and policies
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments with the care team
• Participate in patient safety and continuous quality improvement activities
• Provide patient teaching and health promotion across the care continuum
• Serve as a point of contact for care coordination and family communication
