Job summary

Qualifications

• Recent emergency nurse experience.
• Recent (within past 5 years) acute care hospital experience.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or obtained within specified timelines.
• TNCC and Pediatric/ER certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and monitor systems.
• Assess patients with appropriate scope of care and plan care accordingly.
• Establish nursing diagnoses with interdisciplinary input.
• Administer medications and provide wound care and pain management.
• Operate biomedical and patient care equipment and support invasive/non-invasive procedures.
• Educate patients and families about illness, tests and prevention.
• Document assessments, interventions and teaching in EMR; ensure timely, accurate records.
