Job summary

St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time 0.9 FTE on the AM shift (9:00–21:00). The role requires a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months, with NIHSS certification and Assaultive Behavior Training.

Two years of Emergency Department experience is preferred, with TNCC a plus. ESSENTIAL duties include performing the nursing process, planning and prioritizing care, and coordinating with the health care team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• CA Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required (within 6 months).
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Assaultive Behavior Training required.
• Sexual Harassment/Bullying Prevention Certification required (1 month from hire).
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
• Minimum two-years Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and data-collect patient information using the nursing process.
• Plan, develop, and prioritize a personalized care plan based on needs.
• Implement safe, continuous therapeutic care with the health care team.
• Evaluate the patient plan of care and revise as needed; document effectiveness.
