Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions required.
• 2+ years RN experience in ER or similar setting required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Pennsylvania Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or before start date.
• Position requires fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide proficient, age-specific nursing care with advanced clinical knowledge.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Propose revisions to interventions and outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Collect specimens and perform lab testing per policies and regulations.
• Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for procedures and assist others as needed.
