Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an ER Regional Float Team RN on PRN night shift to provide critical care across emergency departments.

The role requires a Kentucky RN license, current BCLS, ACLS/PALS, NIHSS and ER experience with coordination of direct and indirect patient care in line with department policies.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN License required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS & PALS required.
• NIHSS required.
• 2-3 years ER experience required.
• BSN or Nursing Certification required.
• Grandfathered Staff RN hired before Oct 1, 2013 exempt from BSN.
• Associate degreed new grads must obtain a BSN within 5 years.
• RNs with <5 years must enroll in a BSN within 1 year.
• RNs with ≥5 years must obtain a BSN or a Certification within 1 year.
• TNCC preferred.

ER Regional Float Team RN - PRN Nightshift

Shift: 3rd

Status: PRN

Job Summary:

A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (infancy to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works) assigned to his/her care. He/she is responsible for the co-ordination of direct and indirect care within the parameters of the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of Baptist Health emergency departments. Responsibilities will commensurate with the education preparation and demonstrated competencies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience

• BSN or Nursing Certification required except as noted:
• Individuals hired as a Staff RN prior to October 1, 2013 are grandfathered and exempt from obtaining a BSN or Certification.
• Associate degreed New Graduate Nurses must obtain a BSN by agreeing to enroll in a program within 1 year of hire/transfer and complete the degree within 5 years of hire/transfer.
• RN’s with less than 5 years of experience as a nurse must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire.
• RN’s with 5 years of experience or greater as a nurse must complete one of the following:(a) Obtain a BSN by agreeing to enroll in a program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire or (b) Obtain a Nursing Certification within one year of hire or as soon as eligible to sit for the certification.
• TNCC preferred
