Gosnold, Inc. is seeking an ED Navigator (40 hours per week) in Plymouth, MA. The role supports patients with substance use disorders in the hospital emergency department, guiding them toward addiction-specific services and ongoing recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a counseling related discipline or 1 year of related field experience.
• At least two years working with substance use disorder patients in a behavioral health setting; three years lived recovery may substitute for workplace experience.
• Ability to interact with persons in acute drug/alcohol crisis with hope, respect and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients in the ER for SUD referral in a non-judgmental manner.
• Conduct screening assessments to determine suitability for referrals.
• Mentor and coach patients to maximize referral placement across settings.
• Coordinate transfers to treatment and arrange transportation as needed.
• Develop referral relationships with detox, rehab, and community resources.
• Perform follow-up calls to patients or families who decline referrals.
