Job summary

Gosnold, Inc. seeks an ED Navigator in Plymouth, MA to support patients with substance use disorders in the hospital emergency department. This full-time 40-hour position runs 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with hourly pay between $22 and $23.

The ED Navigator engages patients and families to facilitate referrals, conducts screenings, coordinates treatment transfers, and documents care in the hospital system, reporting to the Director of Recovery Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling related discipline or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Ability to interact with patients in crisis with respect and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with ER patients with substance use disorders in a non-judgmental manner.
• Conduct screening assessments for referral suitability and readiness.
• Refer patients to addiction-specific services and coordinate transfers.
• Develop community referrals and maintain contact logs for follow-up.
