Qualifications

• ARRT Certification required.
• Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imaging.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Must have strong customer service and listening skills.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and decisive judgment in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs.
• Performs x-ray procedures under Radiologist supervision.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
• Positions patients using immobilization devices.
• Operates equipment in ED, OR, and bedside settings.
• Maintains patient safety and radiation protection.
• Documents actions using computerized systems.
• Mentors new staff and collaborates with team.
