Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring high-quality images, proper patient positioning, and maintenance of equipment.

Candidates should have an Associate degree, ARRT certification, active Florida CRT licensure, and BLS; one year of experience preferred. This PRN position requires safe patient handling and adherence to MEDITECH documentation and safety

Qualifications

Associate degree required.
ARRT certification required or active.
Florida CRT license required (Clear/active).
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Minimum of one year experience preferred; ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and equipment (surgical, portable, trauma, general, fluoroscopic).
Obtain high-quality radiographic/fluoroscopic images, mark with lead markers, and apply date/time stickers.
Select proper technical factors and techniques; assist with contrast administration as indicated.
Position patients and ensure safety, dignity, and transfer of patients/equipment.
Document clinical information prior to exams, obtain informed consent, and complete MEDITECH fields accurately.
Maintain equipment operation and room cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination; keep supplies stocked.
