Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare is seeking an ER Physician to deliver high-quality emergency care across its Texas locations. The role involves rapid assessment, urgent treatments, stabilization, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include completed residency, Texas license, and current EM certifications. Positions include Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN commitments with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Completed residency in any specialty
• At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience or an Emergency Medicine Residency
• Active Texas State Licensure
• Current PALS/ACLS/ATLS Certifications (BLS preferred)
• Experience in a freestanding ED or urgent care setting (preferred)
• Experience managing multiple clinical sites and leading cross-functional teams
• Deep knowledge of current medical practices, procedures, and equipment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Immediate Evaluation and Diagnosis: assess patients upon arrival in the emergency room
• Administering Treatments: provide urgent medical treatments and procedures
• Stabilization: ensure patients are stabilized before further treatment or transfer
• Collaboration: work with nurses, paramedics, and specialists
• Diagnostic Tests: interpret various diagnostic tests
• Communication: explain diagnoses, prognoses, and plans to patients and families
• Record Keeping: document visits, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes
• Professional Development: stay updated with advancements in emergency medicine
