Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare in Texas is seeking an ER Physician to join our team at facilities in Harker Heights and surrounding locations. The role requires providing immediate emergency care in a fast-paced environment, with collaboration across nurses, paramedics, and specialists to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine.
Active Texas medical license or eligible for one.
Current certifications: PALS, ACLS, ATLS (BLS preferred).

Responsibilities

Immediate evaluation and diagnosis of patients in the emergency department.
Administer urgent medical treatments and perform necessary procedures.
Stabilize patients before transfer or further treatment.
Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, and specialists for comprehensive care.
Interpret and utilize diagnostic test results.
Communicate diagnoses, prognoses and treatment plans to patients and families.
Maintain accurate documentation of visits, diagnoses, treatments and outcomes.
Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on emergency medicine advances.
