Altus Community Healthcare in Texas is seeking an ER Physician to join our team at facilities in Harker Heights and surrounding locations. The role requires providing immediate emergency care in a fast-paced environment, with collaboration across nurses, paramedics, and specialists to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Texas medical license or eligible for one.
• Current certifications: PALS, ACLS, ATLS (BLS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Immediate evaluation and diagnosis of patients in the emergency department.
• Administer urgent medical treatments and perform necessary procedures.
• Stabilize patients before transfer or further treatment.
• Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, and specialists for comprehensive care.
• Interpret and utilize diagnostic test results.
• Communicate diagnoses, prognoses and treatment plans to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits, diagnoses, treatments and outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on emergency medicine advances.
