Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is hiring an Emergency Dept Patient Care Tech to assist under the RN or LPN, support individualized patient care, and work as part of a collaborative team during night shifts. Education: High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT or enrollment in a healthcare program, or current Mercy coworker.

BLS within one month; PCT competencies within three months. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months.
• Ability to push, pull, lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking.
• Preferred: EMT, Paramedic or prior patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the RN or LPN in individualized patient care.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Work cooperatively with a team to meet group goals.

Education
