Prisma Health in Oconee Medical Campus is seeking an entry-level patient care assistant to support the Emergency Department. You will provide direct patient care within scope of practice under supervision, assist with vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic procedures, and help transport patients.

This role emphasizes teamwork, documentation in the EMR, infection control, and compassionate care. A High School Diploma or GED and completion of entry-level training are required; previous CNA/EMT

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, surgical tech, phlebotomy, military medical corpsman or nursing fundamentals course.
• Experience preferred but not required; nursing student or related healthcare training is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice as directed by providers and licensed staff.
• Measures and documents vital signs, oxygen saturation, and other assessments; reports findings to RN.
• Assists with ADLs, positioning, ambulation, and fall prevention.
• Performs basic procedures and specimen collection as trained; handles EKGs and airway support as needed.
• Documents progress in EMR and communicates changes to the care team.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and a clean, safe environment; participates in CPR/emergency care as directed.
