Qualifications

• Education - Completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, surgical tech, phlebotomy, military medical corpsman or nursing fundamentals course.
• No experience required; prior nursing assistant or related healthcare student preferred.
• In lieu of education or required training, will accept current or former certification or licensure as proof of completed training at time of hire.
• Licensure, certification, or registration in the field of training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice as directed by providers and licensed staff.
• Documents data in medical records and informs RN of activities and changes in patient status.
• Assists with positioning, ambulation, and activities of daily living; transports patients to studies and to floors.
• Assists with wound care, basic dressing changes, phlebotomy, EKGs and other delegated clinical tasks.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, clean rooms, and adheres to infection control standards.
