Qualifications

• Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED and completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, surgical tech, phlebotomy, military medical corpsman or nursing fundamentals course.
• Experience: No experience required; prior nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Surgical Tech, Phlebotomist, or nursing student preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in providing patient care per individualized plan of care.
• Perform basic nursing activities and sterile/non-sterile procedures as delegated and trained.
• Collect data, monitor patient status, document in EMR, and inform RN of changes.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living.
• Transport patients to diagnostics and to and from units as needed.
