Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus is seeking an experienced nurse leader to coordinate patient care on a 32-bed ER unit. You will guide the nursing staff, manage patient throughput, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

A strong focus on compassionate care within a faith-based setting drives this role. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in nursing/patient care, an Indiana RN license with BLS, and a BSN (or commitment to obtain it within 3 years for internal staff).

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing; BSN must be completed within 3 years for internal hires.
• Indiana RN license with BLS certification; unit-specific certifications as required.
• 3 years of nursing/patient care experience; additional specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurses and patient care staff to deliver quality care on the unit.
• Ensure quality, safety, documentation, throughput and level-of-care standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge to advance nursing practice and patient outcomes.
• Support lifelong learning and evidence-based practice through continuing education.
