Texas Health Resources is seeking an Admissions Specialist for Patient Access Services in the ER. The role focuses on welcoming patients, gathering complete demographic information, and ensuring accurate health record entry.

You will verify benefits and pre-certifications, explain financial responsibilities, and manage payments to support efficient care delivery. The position requires a HS diploma, 1 year of customer service, and familiarity with Epic and Microsoft Office.

Qualificações

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• 2-3 years of professional office/healthcare experience is preferred.
• CHAA certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients and families on arrival, setting a calm tone for the visit.
• Accurately gather demographic information to ensure EHR integrity.
• Identify network coverage and obtain/validate benefits and pre-certification for tests or procedures.
• Educate patients/families about legal, ethical and compliance documents and obtain proper consents.
• Assist with financial discussions, collect co-payments, self-pay deposits and patient balances.
• Maintain Epic work queue and adhere to productivity guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with patients about insurance and financial implications.
