Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify and enter patient demographic and insurance data accurately.
• Handle pre-registration, quick registration, and full registration for patients.
• Answer switchboard/phone and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Help with admissions, discharges, transfers and related clerical duties.
• Safely transport patients, supplies, and specimens when required.
• Process payments and manage department requisitions and mail.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in unit meetings, data gathering, and quality improvement activities.
• Keep registration area tidy and ensure safety and infection control standards.
