Job summary

Patients Emergency Room and Hospital seeks an EMT-P to staff the emergency department, providing care for neonates to geriatrics with a focus on comfort and dignity. The role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, BLS, ACLS and PALS, or proof of equivalent experience, and ongoing clinical competency.

The position involves direct patient care, collaboration with physicians and nurses, and adherence to hospital protocols while maintaining safety and quality standards. On-site role in Dayton, TX.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of clinical orientation with proven capabilities
• Certification as Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic with BLS, ACLS and PALS (or evidence of experience as Critical Care ER Technician)
• NREMT-Paramedic Certification or Texas Department of Health EMT-P
• Comprehensive clinical knowledge including age-specific care, family dynamics, lab values and medication administration

Responsibilities

• Provide, assist and initiate care for emergency patients
• Maintain and uphold the hospital's care standards
• Participate in quality improvement activities for patient care
• Assist physicians with orders accurately and efficiently
• Identify emergencies and provide necessary interventions
• Show initiative and collaboration with staff
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other facilities in patient care decisions
• Administer medications within scope of practice
• Perform any other duties as assigned
