Job summary

Physicians Premier is seeking a qualified EMT-Paramedic/ER Technician to assist in a fast-paced emergency department in Texas. The role supports the ER Physician and Registered Nurse with exams, procedures, and patient care while adhering to scope of practice and policy.

Requirements include an EMT-P license from the Texas DSHS, minimum two years of EMT-P/ER tech experience, and BLS; ACLS and PALS within six months. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current EMT-P license from Texas Department of State Health Services.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an EMT-P or ER Tech in pre-hospital or acute care.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ER Physician and RN in direct patient care and exams.
• Support during procedures, diagnostics, and treatments as delegated.
• Perform blood draws, IV starts, monitoring, oxygen therapy, and wound care per policy.
• Document patient care concisely and timely in the EMR; support PSR with charting.
• Prioritize care using the ESI 5-level triage system and report significant findings.
• Prepare patients for transfer and assist with EMS transports as needed.
• Administer medications per orders and company policy; monitor for adverse reactions.
