Job summary

Bronson Healthcare seeks an Emergency Department Paramedic (PRN) to provide direct patient care in the Trauma & Emergency Center under RN supervision. You will deliver care per hospital policies, treating pediatric to geriatric patients, while upholding safety, confidentiality and high professional standards.

The role requires an accredited paramedic program, Michigan EMT-P license, BCLS and ACLS; PALS, PHTLS and BTLS are preferred or required within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience required.
• Successful completion of an accredited paramedic program required.
• Three years’ experience as a Paramedic in a pre-hospital setting preferred.
• Currently licensed as a EMT-P (Paramedic) in the state of Michigan; BCLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required; PALS preferred, required within 1 year of hire.
• PHTLS preferred, maintained or required after hire.
• BTLS preferred, maintained or acquired after hire.
• Excellent communication in customer service skills are required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Trauma & Emergency Center under RN supervision.
• Deliver care based on hospital policies and procedures.
• Care for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients per guidelines and competencies.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality in line with policy and procedure.
