Qualifications

• State of Ohio Paramedic Certification is required.
• CPR/BLS is required.
• PALS is preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire.
• ACLS is preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire.
• For Transport Paramedics, EVOC is preferred at time of hire, but required within two weeks of hire.
• The Transport Paramedic position requires maintaining a valid Ohio driver’s license, being a minimum of 21 years old, and meeting all eligibility criteria for hospital insurance coverage.
• An Emergency Services Paramedic does not require EVOC for Driving purposes.

Responsibilities

• Delivers basic patient care, provides comfort measures, maintains patient care environment, and reports patient responses to the appropriate licensed staff member.
• Renders care in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rule and within the hospital's Emergency Department or during patient transfer between departments.
