Job summary

Emerus is seeking an ER Technician/Healthcare Assistant to provide technical support and patient care across assigned areas. The role includes collecting vitals, specimens, and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Qualifications emphasize high school diploma or GED, BLS, and various EMT/paramedic credentials with ER experience. A Las Vegas market requires either an active Paramedic/A-EMT license or IV certification with related licensing.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG is preferred
• Active Paramedic or A-EMT license required for Las Vegas market or IV certification plus one of: phlebotomy license or Lab Assistant certification

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vitals and specimens
• Perform lab testing per COLA and CLIA policies
• Assist with patient care per the plan of care and maintain safety
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient privacy
• Travel to all facility locations as required and participate in meetings
