Job summary

Northwest Healthcare is seeking a Paramedic - Ambulance to provide high-quality patient care across all ages, collaborate with the healthcare team, and support emergency response, assessment, and therapeutic interventions in the hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a state Paramedic license, EMT certification, ACLS and PALS, with 0–2 years EMT-P or hospital experience; strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to handle high-pressure situations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of an accredited Paramedic Science program with current state license/certification
• 0-1 years of EMT-P experience
• 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks safely and competently per standards and policies
• Coordinates patient care with RNs and interdisciplinary team members
• Recognizes changes in patient status and informs the RN for appropriate interventions
• Completes accurate and timely documentation for a clear patient record
• Maintains professional communication with the team, patients, and families
• Administers medications safely according to the five rights and EMR scanning
• Supports efficient patient throughput and department operations
• Responds rapidly and effectively during emergencies with ALS techniques
• Operates and maintains medical equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains attendance
• Complies with all policies and standards
