Riverview Health in Carmel, IN is hiring a part-time Emergency Department Paramedic (EMT-P) to support patient care in the Hazel Dell ED-UC. The role involves direct patient assessment, initiating emergent care, assisting with patient flow, wound care, phlebotomy, and basic life support procedures under physician supervision.

Minimum qualifications include EMT-P certification in Indiana and ACLS/PALS; ACLS/PALS should be obtained within 6 months.

Formación

• Minimum: State certified EMT-P course completion EMT-P Certification, State of Indiana.
• ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Competencies for routine clinical tests and procedures must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Preferred: One year of experience working as a paramedic.

Responsabilidades

• Collects and conveys information to RN and physician regarding patients health status in the ED.
• Communicates information to RN for care plan updates.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation.
• Initiates lifesaving measures as needed.
• Stabilizes and extricates injured patients from vehicles at ED entrance.
• Assists in patient transport and flow in the ED.
