Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Paramedic program.
• Current EMT-Paramedic registration in Texas.
• Current BLS, ACLS & PALS are required.
• Minimum of one year experience preferred as EMT.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for paramedic level services within the emergency department in a timely and safe manner.
• Complete documentation and records according to department policy.
• Ensure emergency preparedness equipment is ready for response.
• Restock emergency department and report damaged, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment.
• Assist with code and critical care patients within the emergency department.
• Perform phlebotomy and lab specimen labeling as needed.
• Assist charge nurse in assessing patient flow and prioritizing care.
