Job summary

Qualifications

• Paramedic license valid in Florida.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS provider certification required within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for paramedic level services from areas within the emergency department in a timely and safe manner.
• Completes documentation and records according to hospital and department policy.
• Ensures emergency preparedness equipment is ready for response at all times.
• Assists with codes and critical care patients within the emergency department at the paramedic level, including interdepartmental transport and monitoring.
• Supervises and documents duties under nursing supervision, ensuring proper training and skills evaluation.
• Assists triage and charge nurses in patient assessment, prioritization, and flow management.
