Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks a paramedic to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in the Emergency Department. You will monitor vital signs, initiate oxygen therapy, assist with airway management, and support transport and documentation duties in a high‑acuity environment.

Required: NC paramedic certification, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of paramedic experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic certification by the NC required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 1 year experience as a paramedic required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record and update vital signs.
• Monitor patient’s respiratory status and initiate oxygen therapy.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring and report dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications as delegated by RN or provider.
• Assist in airway management and advanced airway procedures.
• Assist with patient transport and documentation on care records.
• Liaise between patient, family, nursing unit and medical staff.
