Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic certification by the State of North Carolina required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 1 year experience as a paramedic required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record and update vital signs.
• Monitor respiratory status and initiate oxygen therapy per protocol.
• Initiates cardiac monitoring and notifies RN/provider of dysrhythmias.
• Administer approved medications as delegated by RN/provider.
• Perform suctioning and airway management as needed.
• Assist in C-spine stabilization and patient transport.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
• Assist with equipment setup and patient handling.
