Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Paramedic to respond to diverse hospital unit needs and provide high-level patient care within the health system. The role includes ambulance relief driving when needed and meticulous documentation of patient findings and treatments.

The position requires state certification as a Paramedic, ITLS/ACLS/PALS, NIMS, and a valid NC driver’s license, with ongoing certification updates for flight paramedic capacity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current NC Paramedic certification.
• CCP-C or FP-C certification within 1 year.
• Flight paramedic capacity requires FP-C/CCP-C.
• ITLS, BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• NIMS 100/200/700 required.
• NC driver’s license with clean record.
• NRP within 6 months of employment.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, clean, inventory and restock the ambulance.
• Assist in maintaining the building and grounds of assigned quarters in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
• Respond to calls from an assigned quarters building and change locations when requested by a supervisor or dispatcher.
• Receive and answer calls following the medical protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Promptly corrects any identified deficiencies as defined by department standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure all pertinent medical records, radiographs and transfer authorizations accompany patient.
• Other duties as assigned.
