Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System seeks a Paramedic to join the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Emergency Department in Fayetteville, NC. You will provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, perform clinical duties, and uphold patient safety and confidentiality.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, North Carolina Paramedic certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of paramedic experience. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record and update vital signs.
• Monitor patient’s respiratory status and initiate treatments per protocol.
• Initiates cardiac monitoring; detect dysrhythmias and notify RN/provider.
• Administer approved medications as delegated by RN/provider.
• Perform oral, nasal and ET tube suctioning; assist with C-spine stabilization.
