Qualifications

• Education and formal training: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current NC Paramedic certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• All certifications must be maintained throughout employment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Completion of NIMS 100, 200, & 700 required for EMS.
• Experience with an advanced life support service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain/record/update vital signs and monitor respiratory status.
• Provide oxygen therapy and ALS care per protocol.
• Inspect and restock ambulance; report deficiencies.
• Perform suctioning and assist with spinal immobilization.
• Assist with restraints and manage equipment setup.
• Respond to routine transfers and emergency calls; drive safely.
