Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an approved nursing program and current licensure in state; Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in nursing supervision/administration with formalized training in management.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate and work cooperatively with individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department planning, organizing and controlling activities to ensure efficient nursing care delivery.
• Develop and implement department objectives aligned with system and hospital goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and policies; model professional practice.
• Lead staffing planning; manage personnel recruitment, coaching, evaluation and disciplinary actions.
• Participate in hospital management and strategic planning.
• May provide direct patient care when needed.
• Maintain infection control compliance and department budget reporting.
• Attend committees and meetings; may work off-hours.
