Job summary

You will mentor staff, participate in discharge planning, and ensure safety and patient advocacy. An RN license, BLS, and eKG proficiency are required, with a BSN preferred and rigorous ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license active and in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate Degree required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• De-Escalation Training within 6 months of hire.
• Advanced Dysrhythmia/EKG skills required for Med/Surg telemetry unit only.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments and formulates a care plan.
• Oversees implementation and updates plan of care with critical thinking.
• May supervise assigned team members and students.
• Administers medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
• Mentors staff and orients new hires.
• Participates in discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Documents findings in medical records timely.
• Ensures patient safety and advocacy at all times.
