Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield – South Emergency Department is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in the ER. The role supports the VP of Emergency Services and Medical Director in delivering safe, high-quality care while managing resources efficiently.

We seek candidates with 3–5 years in a critical care or ER setting, RN licensure, and BSN preferred. BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC certification is required within 90 days, TNCC within one year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state.
• Three to five years' experience in a critical care or emergency room setting. Previous leadership/management experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC; TNCC required within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Vice President of Emergency Services and the unit Medical Director in delivering safe, quality care.
• Ensure efficient utilization of resources and meet productivity and/or financial goals.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff across departments to improve communication and processes.
