Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield Regional Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to assess patient status, prioritize needs, and implement care plans in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes safe, evidence-based nursing care and interprofessional collaboration.

Requires an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. One year of RN experience is preferred; ED/CC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience; Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred but not required.
• Active RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and determine priority of problems and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and ensure safety per policies and state practice.
• Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients from short-stay to trauma.
