Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in and successfully completed the first semester of an accredited Nursing Program.
• To remain Nurse Tech, must pass and complete each enrolled semester, including clinical and theory.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must pass the pre-employment assessment.
• Must demonstrate each task before performing independently; basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in assembling and operating equipment for patient care under supervision of an RN.
• Keeps appropriate people aware of pertinent changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participates in planned education for the patient per Patient/Family Education policy with consideration of developmental differences.
• Reports variances according to risk management processes of UHS.
