Job summary

St. David’s Emergency Center – Wells Branch is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. You will advocate for patients and participate in nursing initiatives to improve outcomes.

You will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, teach patients and families, and support self-management after discharge. A strong commitment to patient experience and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing.
• ACLS within 90 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• Pediatric Emergency Course within 18 months of start date.
• Trauma/Nursing Core Course within 18 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote pain management and reassessment after intervention.
• Perform procedures and monitor care as ordered, with timely documentation.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients/families/caregivers about condition, treatment plan, meds, and follow-up.
• Prepare patients/families for self-management and lifestyle changes.
