RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Jersey City Medical Center's Emergency Department. The role focuses on comprehensive assessments, timely clinical interventions, and collaborating with physicians and providers to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

The position emphasizes evidence-based practice, strong communication, and teamwork within a Magnet-designated academic health system.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
Serve as clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers.
Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions.
Document accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic).
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to coordinate care.
Work in a collaborative team environment with shared accountability.
