Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a per diem registered nurse to provide patient-centered care across the emergency department setting. You will apply the Nursing Process from admission to discharge and collaborate with the care team to develop individualized plans.

Requirements include Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP as applicable; a BSN is highly preferred. This role offers a mixed 12-hour shift with per diem hours; a signing bonus may be available

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration required.
• BLS certification required for every RN.
• ACLS certification required in select areas within 6 months.
• PALS certification required in select areas within 6 months.
• NRP Advanced Provider certification required in select areas within 6 months.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
