Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a part-time Emergency Room Registered Nurse for per diem coverage. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, assess patients and coordinate care in a fast-paced ER environment.

Requirements include MA nursing license, BLS; ACLS, PALS and NRP in select areas; BSN preferred. Per diem shifts and varied hours with union Marlborough. Signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS certification required in select areas.
• PALS and NRP certifications required in select areas; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required within specified timelines.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge.
• Perform patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedures.
• Develop and coordinate individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegate appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
