HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care across a diverse patient population. The role emphasizes rapid decision-making, patient-centered assessment, and collaboration with physicians and care teams in a fast-paced ER setting.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN or higher, Florida RN license, and current BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC and ACLS certifications with timelines aligned to start dates.

Qualifications

• RN in acute care environment is preferred.
• Florida RN license is required; compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages.
• Identify outcomes and tailor plan to patient and situation.
• Develop plans with strategies to attain outcomes.
• Manage multiple cases with general nursing care and prioritization.
• Provide follow-up care instructions and referrals.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital departments with patient safety focus.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic Emergency Room RN to join our team.To be successful in this role you mustbe aquick thinker, decision-maker, and multitasker, with a willingness to adapt to whatever the daymay bring.In this role you will provide nursing careoncases ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients.You would be part of a phenomenal team that works hard to support each other while providing excellent care to our patients in a collaborative manner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages
• Identifyexpected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
• Develop plans that prescribestrategies and alternatives toattainexpectedoutcomes.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually
• You will provide follow up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals
• You must coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patientfocused and safety aware at all times

What qualifications you will need:

• RN in acute care environment is preferred
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN licenserequired. Compact license holders have60 daysto obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• BLS-AHA Provider issued cardrequiredwithin30 daysof start
• Associate Degree in nursing required, bachelors degree preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within30 daysof employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• TNCCrequiredwithin 1 year
• Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
