Job summary

Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department with Telemetry responsibilities. You will deliver direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching while maintaining nursing standards in a fast-paced ED.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC credentials, and ED experience. Night shifts, full-time, with a sign-on bonus. Knapp is part of Prime Healthcare Foundation and serves Mid-Valley residents.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry and the Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
