Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid RN license issued by the State.
• BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and ensures safety for mothers and newborns.
• Utilizes chain of command to ensure well-being and appropriateness of care.
