Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department, full-time night shifts. The RN will perform assessments and provide evidence-based care in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Illinois RN license and BLS certification.
• ADN may be acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.
• Preferred: strong interpersonal skills, collaboration with others, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and develops plans of care.
• Administers medications and monitors patients' responses.
• Coordinates patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Documents nursing actions and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
