Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide expert nursing care for acutely ill patients. The role requires a BSN, active Illinois RN license, and BLS certification.

You will work three 8-hour shifts per week, including every third weekend and rotating holidays. As part of NM, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain ANA standards, and participate in shared governance and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSN required for RN position.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse required.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data; develops and implements an individualized care plan.
• Directs care and utilizes assistants when appropriate.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians, and staff; documents care plan and communications.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Uses best available evidence to guide nursing practice.
